Ok, well I am attending Job Corps in Gadsden AL, I'm 20 years old and just recently came out about being MtF Transsexual (recently meaning i was just turning 19) Im not openly out about it to every one i don't care if people know but, i just don't go out and tell every one just to tell them for the fun of it, all my close friends know and my 3 roommates know and so far they all seem pretty cool about it, I lived in NH before hand and when i lived there I was very out about it, i lived as a girl and dressed as one all the time. Now when i came to Alabama they were way more biased about it, which i came here to try and find a Job and stuff but that didn't really go to well. I lived with my grandmother and she was fine with it. But she was worried other people wouldn't be and she begged me a lot not to be to out about it. So when i came to Job Corps i came as Josh rather than as Sara (my name ill have when i get my name change) Which was really a bummer for me but i was worried i would nt be accepted otherwise, and i had no other choices other than Job Corps at the time since im a High School drop out. Now im just about complete from this Job Corps but i was gonna transfer to the Shriver Job Corps in Massacheusetts but i wanted to go as Sara since i know up there they are more accepting of things like this. But Job Corps is telling me it would be to difficult with the dorms and stuff, and everything which i dont really understand, since ill just be dressing and looking like a girl and stuff. But anyways I'm main wondering is, can Job Corps legaly tell me i can't dress as a female and have long hair and use make up, just becuase the the fact that I'm still physicaly male. NOTE: I have not started any treatments yet except I had counseling.... Read More »
